The IT Specialist, under the guidance of the IT Supervisor and the supervision of the IT Manager, is responsible for complete technical support maintaining all hardware and software including troubleshooting functions to Printwell Group of Companies.

In addition, IT Specialists oversee the daily performance of all Printwell computer systems and evaluate software programs with regards to their usefulness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all mission critical IT hardware/systems are 99% functional and running
• Troubleshoots technical, operational, or customer service problems and takes corrective action to resolve conflicts
• Installs, configures, and upgrades Operating Systems and security, anti-virus software, using standard business and administrative packages like ERP, HRIS, other in-house applications; may modify specific applications for use in operational departments
• Oversee the daily performance of all computer systems and conduct monthly and annual preventive maintenance
• Monitors system processing activities by observing peripherals, input and output, to ensure throughput/delivery of data
• Monitoring the company's email system, ensuring that no unwanted emails, confidential information among others are going in and out of the company in accordance with the company's approved Email Policy
• Determines appropriate reload and backup procedures for databases, and monitors and records impact of aborted jobs on database and data communication files
• Provides software support to internal users/clients
