First Asia was borne out of a commitment made to one person. Because of the far reaching impacts of unemployment, many Filipinos have had to help not only themselves but also their families and extended families in searching for jobs. A promise of continuous employment made to a former welder, became another promise made to his teenage son, then later on to brothers, cousins, uncles and nephews as well. The reality of poverty forebodes, and millions live with the threat of unemployment everyday, but the resilience and optimism of the Filipino worker shall prevail.
Mission
Our mission at First Asia is to provide every Filipino a chance to secure permanent, fair, and purposeful employment opportunities. Here at first Asia, we believe in the talents, skills, creativity, and adaptability of the Filipino worker. We invest in our apprenticeship programs because we know that given the right training, environment, and opportunity, any person can become a member of our cooperative, and can later be matched to a job opening that best complements his/her interests and capabilities .

Our vision is to be the most trusted partner of aspiring workers in seeking meaningful career paths and livelihood opportunities with companies who are equally committed to talent development and prosperity building for the nation’s work force. We partner with organizations that are inclusive and open to all people — without prejudice to race, orientation, religious beliefs, appearances, age, nor physical handicaps. Through the hundreds of partner companies of First Asia, we have successfully placed thousands of people onto gainful employment and respectable wages. We hope to continue growing together with our cooperative members, and to move this country towards greater social progress.
