Receive and review claims documents and coordinate with claimants
Interview claimant(s) and/or witnesses to gather pertinent information
Conduct an actual investigation or inspection to determine the veracity of the loss and the extent of the insurance company's liability concerning personal, casualty, or property loss or damages
Gather pertinent documents and examine their validity and consistency
Verify the coverage applies through an insurance policy and its premium payment
Evaluate the loss to ascertain the compensation amount or the company's liability
Conduct necessary canvassing of parts prices relating to the claims filed
Negotiate the assessment with the claimant to settle the claim
Prepare and/or issue Evaluation, Final Offer, Letter of Authority to Repair, and/or Final Recommendation for payment
Prepare and send Denial Letters and/or Demand Letter in the case of denied and with recovery claims.
Segregate claims documents for forwarding to accounting and/or to head office

Bachelor’s degree
At least 1-2 years of experience in claims processing, investigation, or related insurance functions is an advantage
Strong analytical and investigative skills with keen attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with claimants, witnesses, and internal teams
Ability to conduct on-site investigations or inspections for personal, casualty, or property claims
Proficient in gathering, reviewing, and validating pertinent documents
Knowledgeable in interpreting insurance policies, coverages, and premium payments
Capable of evaluating losses and determining appropriate compensation or company liability
Skilled in negotiating and handling claims settlements with claimants
Proficient in preparing evaluation reports, settlement offers, repair authorizations, and other necessary claims documentation
Ability to prepare Denial and Demand Letters when applicable
Organized and systematic in handling and segregating claims documents for accounting and head office processing
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
