1.Utilizes assessment skills and techniques to determine patient’s problems and needs.

2.Develops and documents the plan of care based on patient’s condition/needs.

3.Carries out the plan of care according to priority.

4.Provides safe and comprehensive care according to standards.

5. Performs direct nursing care procedures which include bedside nursing, hygiene, pre and post-operative nursing care, admission and discharge duties.

6.Monitors, records, and reports patient’s symptoms, condition, and progress of treatment and therapy.

7.Administers medications following the golden rules.

8.Prepares patients for, and assists physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

9.Assist in the education and rehabilitation of patients and their families related to physical and mental health.

10. Conducts/participates in research studies.

11.Maintains the confidentiality of patient’s data.

12. Coordinates with other sections in the hospital regarding patient care.

13. Performs other related functions.
