This role requires a seasoned professional to oversee the identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of all significant risks, ensuring the safeguarding of Manulife's assets and reputation, and maintaining regulatory compliance within the dynamic financial services landscape.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operational risk management within the financial services industry.
• At least 7 years of experience in a directorship or equivalent senior leadership role managing risk functions.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing enterprise-wide risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000).
• In-depth understanding of financial products, markets, and regulatory environments relevant to a multinational financial institution.
• Proven track record of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making under pressure.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
