The Senior Project Manager oversees all aspects of project planning, resource allocation, time management, risk management, benchmark creation, budget and staff management, stakeholder relationships, and the handling of 3–4 projects, depending on size.
- Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Ensure smooth coordination across disciplines such as architecture and engineering. Understand scope and deliverables, facilitate communication and collaboration, and align timelines to ensure timely, quality project delivery.
- Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks affecting scope, schedule, budget, and quality. Develop and regularly update risk management plans throughout the project.
- Excellent Quality: Ensure all architectural, civil, and engineering works meet or exceed the company’s quality standards and client expectations.
- Stakeholders Engagement and Communication: Serve as the main contact for all stakeholders, including clients, team members, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies. Provide regular project updates. Submit weekly reports to management, stakeholders, and clients.
- Budget Management and Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs to remain within budget. Manage resources, negotiate contracts, and make decisions to minimize costs while maintaining quality.
- Change Management: Handle changes in scope, schedule, and costs efficiently. Ensure all modifications are documented, justified, and approved.
- Technology Integration: Use digital tools and project management software to improve project efficiency and outcomes.
- Team Mentoring and Development: Lead and guide the team, fostering collaboration. Support growth through mentoring, training, and feedback.
- Change Orders and Weekly Meetings: Manage change orders promptly. Hold weekly meetings with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to review status and define action items.
- Punch List and Project Performance: Complete punch list items within 30 days to ensure client satisfaction. Monitor team performance.
- Project Closure and Post-Evaluation: Oversee closure and ensure all obligations are met. Submit turn-over documents on time. Conduct evaluations to identify improvements.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Encourage innovation and seek continuous improvements in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality.
- Relationship Building and Communication: Build strong internal and external relationships and communicate effectively.
- Proposal Coordination and Winning Work: Lead proposal efforts to win projects. Work with Project Directors and Business Group Leaders to meet strategic goals.
- Scope and Contract Management: Monitor contracts, manage scope and variations, and identify risks to ensure compliance.
- Interpretation and Explanation: Clarify plans and contract terms for staff, workers, and clients.
- Timely Addressing of Concerns: Resolve all concerns within 24 hours via call, text, or email.
- Handling and Monitoring of 3 Projects: Oversee and manage 3–4 projects simultaneously, ensuring effective delivery.
- Project Reporting and Update: Conduct weekly project meetings and submit progress reports and minutes to stakeholders.
- Client Reporting and Coordination: Provide weekly updates to clients and highlight risks and dependencies.
- Project Milestone: Ensure accomplishments align with timelines. Submit milestone billings on time.
- Safety and Environmental: Maintain a safe work environment and ensure all safety procedures and policies are followed.
