Oversees all aspects of plant operations by ensuring that daily production targets, quality and customer requirements are met. Reviews production schedules and determines work force requirements to ensure smooth flow of operation. Troubleshoots production problems, takes preventive or corrective action, and recommends changes to improve quality and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities:
Directing and guiding production staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and work rules. This includes training, mentoring, and providing performance feedback.
Developing and implementing production schedules, monitoring workflow, and ensuring that production goals are met on time and within specifications.
Conducting regular inspections of production processes and equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety protocols.
Enforcing safety guidelines, maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring adherence to food safety regulations, including GMP, HACCP, and other relevant standards.
Identifying and resolving production issues, equipment malfunctions, and other challenges that may arise during the production process.
Maintaining accurate records of production data, costs, and other relevant information. Preparing and submitting reports to senior management.
Ensuring adequate inventory levels of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods, and minimizing waste through proper storage and rotation practices.
Working closely with other departments, such as quality control, maintenance, and supply chain, to ensure smooth operations and efficient production flow.
Analyzing production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Assisting in the development and implementation of training programs for new employees and providing ongoing training for existing staff.
Essential Skills:
Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and guide a team of production staff.
Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with employees, other departments, and management.
Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve production issues and challenges.
In-depth understanding of food safety regulations, including GMP, HACCP, and other relevant standards.
Ability to develop and implement effective production schedules and manage workflow.
Knowledge of quality control procedures and the ability to conduct regular inspections.
Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports.
Familiarity with manufacturing tools and equipment, as well as basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
