  • Collect and verify timesheets, calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and commissions, and process direct deposits or checks. 
  • Calculate, withhold, and remit payroll taxes, prepare and file tax returns, and respond to tax notices from government agencies. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes to personal information. 
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, or benefits. 
  • Prepare and distribute various payroll reports for management and auditors, including payroll expenses, tax filings, and compensation summaries. 
  • Manage the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and assist with financial statement preparation. 
  • Suggest and implement improvements to payroll processes and procedures. 
  • Work with HR and accounting departments to ensure seamless integration and compliance.
