United Bearing Industrial Corporation is seeking a dedicated Collection Officer to join our team in Binondo, Manila City. As a Collection Officer, you will be responsible for managing legal collections, including the preparation of formal demand letters and representation in court proceedings. This role ensures the timely recovery of outstanding accounts through both legal and amicable means. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of debt recovery processes, legal documentation, and court procedures.

What you'll be doing

• Draft, review, and issue formal demand letters to delinquent clients in compliance with legal standards.
• Coordinate with legal counsel in preparing documentation and evidence for court filings.
• Attend court hearings and represent the company in legal proceedings related to collections, as required.
• Conduct follow-ups with clients post-demand letter or court proceedings to negotiate payment settlements or enforce court decisions.
• Investigate and validate the status of overdue accounts, and recommend appropriate legal action.
• Maintain detailed records of collection efforts, legal documents, and case progress.
• Liaise with internal teams and external legal representatives to ensure smooth and timely case handling.
• Prepare periodic reports on legal collections, case statuses, and payment recoveries.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to credit and collections.

• Bachelor’s degree in Legal Management, Political Science, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in collections with a strong focus on legal collections or court-related work.
• Knowledge of legal processes related to debt collection, including small claims and civil procedures.
• Proven experience in drafting legal demand letters and preparing case documentation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in dealing with legal matters and delinquent accounts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems; familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism in handling sensitive cases.
