• Assists senior painter on preparing surfaces of automotive vehicles for repainting and polishes repainted vehicles: sands rough spots on automotive vehicle
• Applies paper and masking tape to protect unpainted surfaces, such as bumpers, windows, and chrome trim, and to ensure that there will be no overspray
• Ensures that each coat of paint is completely dried before applying the next one
• Polishes final coat of paint using polishing compound and cloth
• Cleans customers’ cars once work is completed
• Performs buffing and finishing duties at the end of each paint job if needed for assistance
• Ensures the workshop is kept clean and in full working order for all the painters
• Keeps records of all work carried out and performs other related work as required
• Daily enters key data of record of shop supplies and workshop tools and equipment
