Roles and Responsibilities

• The role can entail all, or any part of a project from concept to completion, this could include any of the following activities:
• Detailed design of both Structural, Mechanical and or Electrical equipment.
• Producing Fabrication drawings and detailed arrangements in line with HDE and Australian Standards.
• Modelling as-built structure or equipment from 3D Scan data.
• Budget and time estimating.
• Liaising and working with HDE’s Engineers on projects.

Required Experience

• Proficient in English communication skills – verbal and written.
• High standard of 3D modelling software literacy (Inventor preferred, Advance Steel Advantage).
• Fast and accurate design skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work well in a friendly team environment.

A Successful Candidate Must Have

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the application of Australian Standards.
• An interest in solving practical and technical problems.
• Confidence to ask clarification and discuss projects with the team.
• The ability to work to a high standard while still adhering to strict deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications.
• Previous experience working on Australian projects.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience.

Experience Advantage

• Process plant design.
• Structural detailing and design.
• Piping design.
• Concrete design and detailing.
• Materials handling design.
• Electrical design and schematics.
