• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or any related field
• 5 years of experience in Market Research
• Experience from a research company is a plus
• Proven market research analysis with experience in statistical data analysis and interview techniques
• Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys, etc.)
• Good interpersonal skills with strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills
• Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and critical thinking with creative and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret large amounts of data, multitask, and meet deadlines
• Ability to motivate and empower the research team
• Results-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• Must be flexible to work extended and weekend hours

Role Purpose / Job Summary:

• Collect data on customers, competitors, industry, market location, and situation, and consolidate information into actionable items, reports, and presentations
• Identify market and sales trends, provide analysis, and make recommendations for product and service improvements
• Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences
• Research and compile data related to current product markets, customer demographics and interests, and factors influencing product demand; analyze results to identify ways of maximizing sales and market penetration
• Compile and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional collection methods
• Devise and evaluate methods for collecting data, such as surveys, questionnaires, and opinion polls
• Perform valid and reliable market research and SWOT analysis
• Identify potential new products or markets through research
• Forecast and track industry marketing and sales trends based on collected data
• Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identify market trends, pricing and business models, sales, and methods of operation
• Summarize and analyze data; make recommendations based on research findings
• Report findings with graphs illustrating data and written explanations of complex findings
• Evaluate program methodology and key data to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties’ research, and implement best practices
