- Conduct thorough electrical diagnostics on heavy equipment to identify faults, malfunctions and issues,
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and replacements of electrical components and systems, including wiring, switches, sensors, and control panels.
- Carry out duties independently when called out and report breakdowns and faults
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical problems efficiently.
- Ensure that all preventive maintenance (electrical) is conducted as defined
- Ensure all electrical work adheres to safety regulations and standards, reducing potential hazards and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used to facilitate efficient record-keeping and reporting.
- Conduct rigorous testing and quality checks on repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to address electrical and mechanical issues comprehensively.
- Recommend and implement electrical upgrades to improve equipment performance, energy efficiency, and safety.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in heavy equipment electrical systems.
- At least 3 years of proven work experience on Earthmoving Equipment.
- Trade/ Craft certificate in Electrical
- Proven experience as an electrician, with a focus on heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical systems in heavy machinery such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Sinotruck, Hyundai, Shantui, Liugong, etc.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
