Responsibilities
- Set the strategic direction for the Electrical Department.
- Ensure academic and research excellence.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Develop and implement cutting-edge research initiatives.
- Secure funding and build partnerships with industry and government agencies.
- Oversee the development and delivery of educational programs.
- Mentor junior faculty and support their professional development.
- Ensure the department remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the department.
- Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively.
- Represent the department at university and external meetings.
- Collaborate with other departments and institutions on interdisciplinary projects.
- Evaluate and improve departmental policies and procedures.
- Lead faculty recruitment and retention efforts.
- Support student recruitment and retention initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with university and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate faculty and student research presentations and publications.
