This position will involve working on civil works design projects focused on site grading, road design, and utilities design. You will be working on various types of land developments such as subdivisions, mixed-use developments, leisure spaces, industrial sites and ecozones.

We are looking for an applicant that has relevant experience in land development civil design and is proficient in software tools such as Civil3D, AutoCAD, and calculation spreadsheets.

Key responsibilities:

• Inspect and assess sites in terms of project complexity and design impact in the natural terrain, soil and waterways
• Analyze aerial and satellite photography, topographical survey, geotechnical and hydrological studies to initially plan the development
• Analyze and conduct site grading, cut-and-fill optimization to produce civil design drawings
• Develop road design to produce engineering design drawings including road alignment, road layout, profiles, sections, and standard details
• Model and draft engineering design drawings using Civil3D and AutoCAD
• Perform engineering calculations in spreadsheets, and document it in a Design Calculation Report
• Ensure designs comply with design guidelines, codes, environmental and regulatory standards and requirements
• Be involved and work through all design phases: Schematic/Conceptual, Detailed Design, Pre-Construction, providing technical insight and sound engineering solutions to design challenges
• Assist lead engineer in site visits, client meetings and presentations

These skills are not required, but a plus:

• Design of utilities > water supply, sewer, storm drainage for concept design and detailed engineering design

Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil3D is a must.
