About the Role:

• Are you passionate about building modern data platforms using Azure? Do you thrive in international, collaborative environments and want to make a real impact on data strategy?
• We’re looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our global Data & Analytics team. You will be responsible for implementing and managing our Azure-based Data Platform in collaboration with external providers. Reporting to the Data & Analytics Manager (Spain), this is a key role in ensuring our data architecture supports innovation, insights, and business growth.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of our solution on Azure Data Platform (design, development, deployment, and maintenance).
• Collaborate with data architects, developers, scientists, and stakeholders across departments.
• Provide technical expertise to ensure effective delivery by our external provider.
• Work closely with Data Ambassadors and Data Center of Excellence (CoE) to gather requirements. Integrate data from various systems including SAP, Salesforce, SCADA, PIMS, and others. Implement and manage Lakehouse architectures, real-time data streaming, and orchestration workflows.
• Oversee AI model deployments and ensure performance optimization on Azure.
• Ensure data security, compliance, availability, and performance optimization.
• Stay updated on Azure tools and best practices to continuously enhance the platform.
• Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of continuous learning.

Key Technologies:

• Azure Data Platform: Data Lake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, Cognitive Services, Machine Learning, Cosmos DB
• integration: SAP, Salesforce, SCADA, PIMS, NoSQL DBs
• Other Tools: Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Purview (nice to have)

Qualification:

• 4–8 years of experience as a Data Engineer (with Azure focus)
• Strong proficiency in Azure Data Platform
• At least one Azure certification:
• DP-203 Azure Data Engineer Associate
• AZ-305 Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any related 4-year computer course
• Excellent English communication skills (Spanish is a plus!)
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
• Experienced in Agile methodology and international collaboration
• Knowledge of DAMA Data Management disciplines is a plus
