About the Company:

Our client, a leading company engaged in home improvements, hardware, real estate, and manufacturing businesses operating nationwide, is looking to hire a Legal Manager for their home improvement and hardware business units. This will be based in Makati City.

Job Description:

The Legal Manager will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters related to the company's operations, ensuring compliance with Philippine laws and regulations, and providing strategic legal advice to management.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support to all departments, including operations, marketing, human resources, and finance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including consumer protection, data privacy, and labor laws.
• Manage and oversee litigation and legal disputes, particularly on collections.
• Conduct legal research and provide updates on changes in legislation.
• Develop and implement legal policies and procedures.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel.
• Protect the company's intellectual property rights.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
• Admitted to the Philippine Bar.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a practicing lawyer, preferably but not necessarily in a corporate setup.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine laws and regulations.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
