Position: B2B Business Development Officer – Urban Gardening (Metro Manila)

Department: Sales & Marketing / B2B Urban Market

Location: Metro Manila


Job Summary

The B2B Business Development Officer – Urban Gardening is responsible for developing and managing business-to-business (B2B) and institutional accounts for Harbest’s urban gardening product lines and services in Metro Manila, including seeds, potting mixes, hydroponic systems, greenhouses and related solutions. The role focuses on market development, institutional partnerships, project-based selling, and training delivery, working with LGUs, schools, communities, NGOs, and corporate clients. The position requires a professional who can manage client engagements end-to-end while representing the company as a credible and trusted agricultural solutions partner.


Key Responsibilities

1. B2B Market Development & Sales

  • Identify, develop, and manage B2B and institutional accounts in Metro Manila
  • Build and maintain relationships with:
  • Local Government Units (LGUs)
  • Schools and universities
  • Communities, NGOs, and foundations
  • Corporate and institutional partners
  • Handle the full B2B sales process, including prospecting, presentations, proposals, and closing
  • Prepare quotations, project proposals, and partnership packages
  • Meet assigned sales and account growth targets

2. Training & Technical Engagement

  • Conduct trainings, seminars, and product demonstrations for B2B and institutional clients
  • Serve as a resource person on:
  • Urban gardening and crop production
  • Seed selection and planting
  • Potting mixes and soil management
  • Basic to intermediate hydroponics
  • Customize training content based on client objectives and audience needs
  • Support project implementation, pilot gardens, and demonstration sites

3. Representation, Coordination & Reporting

  • Represent Harbest in B2B meetings, presentations, and institutional engagements
  • Coordinate with internal teams for logistics, marketing materials, and project execution
  • Gather market intelligence, client feedback, and competitor insights
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts, sales activities, trainings, and partnerships


Qualifications

I. Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agribusiness, Environmental Studies,

Marketing, or related fields

II. Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in:
  • B2B or institutional sales
  • Agricultural or agri-input marketing
  • Urban farming or sustainability-related projects
  • Experience working with LGUs, schools, NGOs, or corporate clients is strongly preferred
  • Experience conducting trainings, workshops, or technical presentations is an advantage

III. Skills & Competencies

  • Strong B2B sales, negotiation, and account management skills
  • Clear and confident communication and presentation abilities
  • Practical knowledge of urban gardening, agriculture, or hydroponics
  • Ability to translate technical information into client-ready solutions
  • Organized, dependable, and results-oriented
