Job Summary:

A Beautician provides a variety of beauty services to clients, including skincare, hair removal, makeup application, manicures, pedicures, and other cosmetic treatments. The role focuses on enhancing the client’s appearance, promoting relaxation, and ensuring a positive experience. Beauticians must have strong technical skills, a good eye for detail, and the ability to create a calming, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Skincare Treatments: Perform facials, skin analysis, exfoliation, and other skincare treatments to improve clients’ skin health and appearance.
• Hair Removal: Provide hair removal services, such as waxing, threading, or sugaring, following safety and hygiene guidelines.
• Makeup Application: Apply makeup for various occasions (e.g., daily wear, special events, or photo shoots), advising clients on products and techniques that suit their skin tone and style.
• Nail Services: Perform manicures, pedicures, and nail art, ensuring that nails are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing.
• Consultation & Recommendations: Conduct consultations with clients to assess their beauty needs and preferences, recommending suitable products and treatments.
• Customer Service: Provide a high level of customer service by greeting clients, addressing concerns, offering relaxation tips, and maintaining a professional attitude at all times.
• Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest beauty products and trends, and recommend products that align with clients’ needs.
• Sanitation & Hygiene: Maintain a clean and hygienic work area by disinfecting tools, equipment, and surfaces, following health and safety regulations.
• Scheduling & Payments: Handle appointment bookings, manage customer schedules, and process payments for services rendered.
• Maintaining Records: Keep accurate records of client treatments, preferences, and any special instructions for future services.

Qualifications:

• Education: Formal training in beauty therapy or cosmetology, typically through a recognized beauty school or program. A diploma or certification in beauty treatments is often required.
• Licenses/Certifications: A valid cosmetology license or beauty therapist certification may be required, depending on location.
• Experience: Previous experience in a beauty-related role, such as a cosmetologist, esthetician, or manicurist, is preferred.
