The Aircon Technician is responsible for the maintenance, cleaning, and repair of air conditioning units (ACUs) to ensure optimal operation and efficiency across company facilities. The role includes conducting preventive maintenance service (PMS), diagnosing common ACU issues, and performing corrective actions as needed.

When there are no air-conditioning–related tasks, the technician will also assist in other technical support functions, such as general maintenance, electrical work, or IT hardware support, as directed by the immediate head. The technician is expected to work independently and uphold company safety and quality standards at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Preventive Maintenance and Cleaning

• Perform regular cleaning of ACUs, including filters, coils, fans, and drain lines.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance following PMS plans.
• Check refrigerant levels, system pressure, and electrical components.
• Create and execute PMS action plans based on inspection results.

Troubleshooting and Repair

• Diagnose and repair common ACU issues such as leaks, weak cooling, and electrical faults.
• Replace or repair defective parts like motors, capacitors, and sensors.
• Conduct post-repair testing to confirm safe and proper operation.
• Recommend corrective actions or replacement of defective units.

Technical Support Assistance

• Assist in other technical support functions when no AC tasks are scheduled, including:
• Basic electrical or facility maintenance tasks.
• Setup or troubleshooting of technical related equipment.
• General support for store, warehouse, or office technical needs.
• Coordinate with other technical staff to ensure smooth operations across functions.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
• Submit PMS reports and technical service logs promptly.
• Report findings and recommendations for improvement or repairs to management.

Safety and Work Practices

• Follow all company safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
• Maintain tools and materials in good working condition.
• Ensure the work area is clean and organized after every task.
