Role Overview

ALPAS is looking for a versatile, detail-oriented Copywriter to join our growing Editorial and Crisis Communications team. You’ll work closely with PR account leads and crisis managers to create high-quality, on-brand written materials that inform, reassure, and shape public perception.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, writes with clarity and empathy, and understands how to craft messages that resonate with both media and the public.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and proofread PR materials: press releases, holding statements, Q&A briefs, key messages houses, op-eds, etc.
• Support crisis response teams with timely, accurate messaging under tight deadlines
• Collaborate with account managers to shape story angles and long-term editorial calendars
• Help translate complex topics into clear, engaging copy for both media and internal use
• Occasionally support internal comms and brand storytelling

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in PR, journalism, content writing, or related field
• Strong command of English (grammar, style, nuance)
• Excellent research and synthesis skills
• Calm and confident communicator, even under pressure
• Experience writing for media or public-facing platforms
• Preferred: Familiarity with crisis communications, brand tone of voice, or newsroom-style writing
